Woooah. Definitely surprised by the licorice thing, too. It's so sticky and gunky... never would've guessed it was GOOD. But, hey, it's delicious. So I think this calls for a mini-celebration. WOOOHOOOO.

Licorice helps to cure periodontal diseases. Others use it as herbal medicine to ease gum pockets and bleeding. And some research say that its root extract can block replication of Streptococcus mutans. However, further studies need to be conducted to determine whether it would be safe to put into candies.
